Reflecting on the Success of the S2SADV Adventure Motorcycle Show: A Thrilling Recap
What an incredible journey it has been! As we bid farewell to our first annual S2SADV Adventure Motorcycle Show & DSBC Flat Tire Social, held on a crisp February 25th morning in Port Moody, British Columbia, we can't help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement. From the roaring engines to the camaraderie shared over a cold brew, the day was a testament to the indomitable spirit of adventure that unites us all.
The turnout exceeded our wildest expectations, with over 300 eager enthusiasts forming a line that stretched down the sidewalk, painting a vivid picture of the excitement and anticipation that awaited inside. With more than 700 tickets sold and over 1,000 attendees throughout the day, it's safe to say that the adventure motorcycle community showed up in full force, ready to soak in the excitement and camaraderie.
At the heart of the event were our esteemed keynote speakers, each bringing their own unique perspective and expertise to the table. From Ryan from FortNine, enlightening us with his insights into motorcycle gear, to Adam Lund, the ER Physician offering invaluable safety tips, and Gareth Jones, the Dakar Racer inspiring us with tales of adventure, the lineup was nothing short of awe-inspiring. Shahnawaz Karim, the Motorad Instructor, shared his wisdom, while Jarrett King of Mitas Tires led engaging tire changing clinics, equipping riders with the skills to tackle any obstacle on the road ahead.
None of this would have been possible without the generous support of our local motorcycle dealers, including Daytona Motorsports, Highroad Motorsports, GA Checkpoint, Burnaby Kawasaki, and Honda Centre. Their sponsorship not only helped bring our vision to life but also underscored the strength and unity of our vibrant community.
The excitement didn't end there – our partner and vendors showcased an impressive array of gear from industry-leading brands such as; Enduro Park Canada, Pacific Riding School, SuspensionWerx, Lone Wolf Motorcycle Towing, Nina Gonzales Insurance Agent, Turkana, Mitas, Fox, Leatt, ZOLEO, Touratech, Mosko Moto, and Vanasche Motorsports, offering attendees the opportunity to explore the latest innovations and upgrades for their next adventure.
Special thanks are also due to the SiteB Community Center and Brave Brewing for graciously hosting our event and running the beer garden, adding an extra layer of warmth and hospitality to the proceedings.
As we reflect on the memories made and friendships forged, we look ahead with anticipation to next year's show. With plans to expand to a larger venue, and possibly shifting the date to March to accommodate even more enthusiasts, the future is bright for the S2SADV Adventure Motorcycle Show & DSBC Flat Tire Social.
